Betrothal denied

May 3, 1930

The chief of the Spanish royal household, the Duke of Miranda, responding to reporters' inquiries today, denied that Infanta Beatriz and the Duke of Spoleto are engaged.
The Associated Press's dispatch notes that "well-informed circles connected with the palace" are still suggesting that the "match easily might be in the making, although not yet officially decided."
The Duke of Spoleto, younger son the of the Duke and Duchess of Aosta, was recently the guest of the Spanish royal family at their palace in Seville.
